On Thursday, Daycare Donny explained just how he will address Russia’s election meddling with Vladimir Putin when he meets with him next week. Former reality show star Donald Trump has always claimed that he’s been tough on Russia but as a shock to no one ever, apparently, all he’s going to do is furrow his eyebrows just before dropping to his knees to have a little ‘executive time’ with Vlad.
“I think we go into that meeting not looking for so much. We want to find out about Syria. We will, of course, ask your favorite question about meddling,” Trump said at a news conference following the heated NATO summit in Brussels. “I will be asking that question again.”
And Trump also n0ted that his BFF, Putin, might deny meddling in the 2016 presidential election when the two leaders meet on Monday. “What am I going to do? He may deny it,” Trump said. “All I can say is ‘Did you?’ and ‘Don’t do it again.’ ”
Trump said that Putin is “not my enemy” and added that the Russian president is a “competitor.”
“Is he a friend?” Trump continued. “No, I don’t know him well enough. But the couple of times that I’ve gotten to meet him, we got along well… I hope we get along well.”

Trump and Putin will be meeting privately next week in Helsinki, Finland, just four months before the midterm elections. Trump has repeatedly denied that Russia meddled in the 2016 election, a claim which raised eyebrows from both sides of the aisle, but only one side of the aisle seems to want to take action.
In April, when the ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki R. Haley, announced new sanctions that would be applied to Russia, Trump defied her, saying that he had not approved of those measures. We’re sure, though, that this is all just a coinkydink and Trump isn’t really trying to help a hostile foreign power because that would be CRAZY.
