    Donald Trump

After facing some of the most brutal backlash Donald Trump has ever received during his horrific year and a half in the White House, the president has finally decided to reverse his own inhumane separation policy.

Trump had always had the power to undo this disgusting policy, a zero-tolerance policy which resulted in thousands of children being taken away from their parents and being put into detention camps where they were scared and starving. However, instead of caring about how traumatic and violating this policy was, Trump insisted for days that his hands were tied, there was nothing he could do, and that it was all the fault of the Democrats for not allowing him to fix the problem. The backlash finally became too much for the approval-seeking POTUS and he finally proved that he could have done something all along — he signed an executive order that would end the separation of families at the southern border.

While most of America is relieved, no one should be acting like the president’s intentions are in the right place with this. Even as he signed the executive order, Trump made comments that revealed his true self-serving colors. In a video that proves Trump is only reversing his decision because he doesn’t want to deal with people hating him, Trump said:

“You’re gonna have a lot of happy people!”

Absolutely disgusting. And proving that he still hasn’t changed his stance on immigration, Trump also said:

“We’ll get the wall, we’ll get the wall done.”
